In this unit you will gain an understanding of the changes, both physical and chemical, which take place in women during pregnancy. It also explains what exercises benefit the client, and the nutritional requirements and key considerations for participation in physical activity.
Using the knowledge gained in Unit 1, you will design an individualised, safe and effective exercise programme for a pre and post natal client, identifying and managing specific risks when participating in physical activity for them.
Unit 1 - multiple choice, externally set exam.
