Frequently Asked Questions

Please get in touch if you have any concerns or questions, we're always happy to hear from you. Below are the answers to some general questions we get asked.

Is Pilates for me?

Pilates is suitable for most people, whatever their level of fitness or size. That's what makes Pilates so good.

How do I get started?

Follow our Booking Guide or get in touch and we'll be happy to help!

Can I join a course once it has started?

For beginners, bookings are taken up to week three. After this time you will need to wait for the next booking period. We will try to accommodate improver and intermediate bookings at any time, however, courses fill up fast so early booking is recommended. Drop in classes are always available.

Is Pilates safe for me after back pain or a recent operation?

After surgery it is important that you seek medical advice from your GP, Physio etc. before your course commences.
In some cases One-to-One sessions are recommended and they are available at most locations.
If you are worried about a specific problem please, or want to book a One-to-One session please get in touch, and we can discuss your requirements completely confidentially

The courses on the timetable are nearly finished, will there be new ones starting soon?

Yes. We update the timetable on a rolling schedule. We can let you know the new term dates ahead of time if you are interested in a future course. Simply get in touch for assistance.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can relax and stretch in. Not too tight, so that you can't stretch and move, but not so loose that the instructor can't see how you are standing. The more the instructor can see of your posture the better. We wear bare feet or socks.

Do I need to bring a mat?

We provide all mats and small equipment, but if you have a mat you would like to use, please feel free to bring it along.
A good Pilates mat is an investment. For more information on purchasing equipment please get in touch.

Can I just turn up on the night?

Our daytime classes are Drop-In classes. You are welcome to come along and join us for one session a week, or more.
All our evening courses must be booked and paid for in advance.

Are missed sessions refundable?

Sessions are non refundable, however, if you call the office and let us know you will be missing your class, we will try to offer you a catch-up class within the same term as your course. We cannot refund your session or allow you to carry them over to a new course or discount missed sessions from your next course.
